Goodness, I see so much stress and anxiety lately – including in myself. 

It’s no wonder. There’s so much of life that is beyond our control and learning how to respond to it is part of our personal journey. Have you noticed all the anger and frustration fueling this stress? So how do we cope with all this stress?

Reiki. It is an energy modality that can reduce stress and promote relaxation and healing.

How Does Reiki Work?

You have an energy field surrounding your body spanning 3 – 5 feet all around you. When your energy is “off” or low, you may not feel your best, you may get sick more often; feel cranky and out of sorts which is also known as being chronically stressed. You also may feel “stuck” in that nothing in your life is moving.

Reiki works to create a state of equilibrium in our life-force energy. It raises the vibration in the body and works to heal and clear your energetic pathways. This allows our life-force energy to begin to flow again.

When your energy is flowing, you’re more able to feel happiness and feel healthier.

One of my favorite people in the world is Tressa Krenzer. She is a Master Reiki practitioner and the owner of Lovingkindness Reiki and Yoga located in Clemmons, North Carolina.

Tressa and I sat down recently for a Zoom chat to talk about the benefits of Reiki especially when it comes to stress and anxiety.

I am blessed to have been on Tressa’s Reiki table many a time. It doesn’t matter what’s going on or how stressed I am going into our appointment, I always feel calmer with my energy flowing beautifully when I leave.

The thing about stress is that while it seems invisible, the long term effects can be devastating for your body, mind and spirit. Stress causes inflammation and inflammation causes illness.
