Lavender Essential Oil, How Do I Calm Down, Lavender OilLet’s calm down this week with Lavender essential oil. Lavender has so many wonderful uses – so many ways this amazing oil can help you without any side effects. It’s also one of the oils I use the most in my aromatherapy practice.

Lavender essential oil has a soft, herbaceous floral scent and simply opening the bottle and taking a deep breath through your nose can help you relax.

It’s wonderful for headaches and migraines, pain, anxiety and just about anything else you can think of. No matter what the situation, Lavender helps.

Each essential oil has its’ own energetic qualities and Lavender is no exception. You can use Lavender to calm, soothe and nurture; it encourages balance in all body systems; helps to reduce anxiety and fear as well as help to calm and control panic attacks.

If you want to get a bottle of Lavender that is pure and therapeutic-grade, I use two companies: Aromatics International and Eden’s Garden. Both companies offer pure unsprayed oils – which is very important! Your liver still has to filter whatever you put on – and in – your body. Pure, unsprayed essential oils are the kindest to your body and I only use these for all the aromatherapy products I create.

If you are pregnant or nursing, you should not use essential oils without first talking to an experienced clinical or certified aromatherapist. You have to assume that all essential oils will cross the placenta and there are some oils that can harm your unborn child or a breast-feeding infant.

How Do I Calm Down With Lavender?

All you have to do to calm down is open the bottle and deeply breathe in the beautiful aroma – I suggest keeping your lips closed and breathe in through your nostrils to get the most out of the oil. Using Lavender to Calm Down

Simply spraying some Lavender Linen Spray on your pillow or jammies can do wonders to relax an overworked or exhausted body, mind and spirit.

Believe it or not – lavender is amazingly easy to grow in many climates! I have three lavender plants growing in my yard that I bought several years ago.
