What makes your belly ache, tummy tamer synergy blend, overeating, overindulging

The holidays are a wonderful time indeed with friends, family, fun and more food that you can consume in two lifetimes.

Yep, it’s all fun and games until you get a tummy ache from all the food you’ve been eating In November, December and the first part of January. That’s nearly 7 weeks of eating chocolate, chips and dip, junk food of all manner and heavy meals. (And most likely, more adult beverages than normal.)

All the rich food can cause cramps, gas, bloating, constipation and possibly diarrhea.

Goodness. While it’s fun to party, the after affects can be miserable.

Why Does All That Food Make Your Belly Ache?

There’s several reasons that you end up with indigestion even when you think you haven’t overeaten.

  • Too much food. Oh my. Mom’s pot roast with all the trimmings, lots more bread than normal and then: ooh – dessert!! Your stomach is stretched more than normal. Your eyes got bigger than your belly and it has a hard time processing all that food.
  • Eating too fast. I think we’re all guilty of this at one time or another. Too much going on and you gulp your food which causes bloating and gas. Sometimes, the gas gets trapped and causes stomach cramps and they’re painful!
  • Food sensitivities. If you’re eating someone else’s cooking, you may not know the exact ingredients. There maybe something in the food you ate that’s causing all sorts of indigestion. Again, this can be painful.
  • Gluten intolerance. Even if you have been eating gluten — the main protein found in wheat, barley and rye — all of your life without problems, a gluten intolerance can develop later in life. This intolerance causes cramps, bloating and gas. If you’re just discovering this as an adult, you may have been gluten intolerant all of your life, with your body better able to cope when you were younger. You really should see a doctor for this to make sure it truly is gluten intolerance and not something more serious.
  • Heartburn. Heartburn is caused by acid coming up from the stomach into the food pipe. It feels like a burning sensation in the chest and throat. It can also cause a burning feeling in the stomach. Eliminating alcohol, spicy foods, and losing weight (if needed) can help control heartburn. This is another instance where you probably should see a doctor because sometimes these symptoms feel like a heart attack.

Other issues that are more serious include gallbladder, overactive thyroid, IBS/IBD and stomach ulcers – all conditions that need to be checked out by your doctor.

In the meantime, what can you do during the holidays to “offset” all this heavy eating? Tummy Tamer Synergy Blend Rollerball bottle! I use mine every single day because over the last few weeks, my belly’s a burrnin’! Tummy Tamer Rollerball for IBS, Essential oils for constipation, Essential oils for spasms

During the week of Thanksgiving, I have no idea what was happening – (TMI alert!) but I’ve had constipation, stomach cramps like crazy and a burning sensation in my chest. I don’t know what caused it because I’m not prone to this kind of thing. I have a cast iron constitution!

I rolled the Tummy Tamer up one side of my belly (where my colon is), across and down the other side. Then, I apply it up and down my esophagus to help with the heartburn. This magic in a bottle not only tames your indigestion but includes an analgesic oil to help with the painful cramps – and yes, they have been painful!!

Arm yourself for all the holiday gatherings with Tummy Tamer – because YES – aromatherapy works!

Have a wonderful holiday season and as always, thank you for stopping by!

Blessings,

Melissa
