
Hi there! It’s been a hot minute since my last post. I’ve missed connecting with all of you and it’s catch up time! Lots went on behind the scenes at Scented Balance.
So, what’s new? I earned my certification as a Naturopathic Practitioner – yay me! It was hard (and stressful) but I learned so much to help you feel your personal best using a holistic approach.
I also earned my Master Practitioner status in Reiki (also known as Healing Touch and Energy Calming) to not only offer it as a tool for managing stress but to teach it as well.
With my new certifications, it was time to pivot and add to my company name which is now Scented Balance Healing Arts. I believe it’s a more relevant name for my products and services.
Just prior to taking on more studies, I dealt with more than one death in my family.
Even though I was excited to learn, I felt like I was losing ground every single day just trying to handle some big emotions and getting used to a new normal. Within a few months of all those events, my significant other endured major surgery and I needed to be his caregiver.
I was over tired, overwhelmed and felt like I was rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
Something had to give.
So I let some things go including my blog posts and newsletter, cut back on the pop-up events that I (really) enjoy doing and decided that some dust on the coffee table is not the end of the world.
I also celebrated 10 years in business in 2024 and while I posted about it on social media, I didn’t say a whole lot about it.
BUT – I’m very proud of the fact that after 10 (now 11) years, I’m still learning and pivoting and helping in a way that makes sense for both of us.
Some offerings at Scented Balance Healing Arts have remained the same through learning more about root causes of stress. And truthfully, I believe chronic stress is behind just about every malady we face these days.
My focus (through Naturopathy) has narrowed to help you manage that chronic stress in order to cool the inflammation and ease the pain.
I’m happy to put my holistic skills to work and I’m ready to share what I’ve learned to help make life healthier for you!
For today, I’ll leave my adventures and shenanigans at that. Just know I’m here to help you when you have too much stress and your body aches.
