Have you ever had an “off” day where you felt anxious? There’s no real reason, but you just feel a bit jittery?
Sometimes, its because you’re anxiously awaiting news of a birth, a possible promotion, news from your doctor or big changes that you’re not sure about. Even worse, there are times when you can’t put your finger on “it” but you find yourself worrying.
So, today that’s me.
I can’t put my finger on it, but I feel anxious. My heart seems to be racing – okay, not racing, but beating faster than normal. It’s almost like I’ve had too much coffee (I haven’t) because my mind seems to race along side of my heart.
Calming the Anxious Feeling
I was told a few days ago by a friend that they had never met someone so high strung as me. It shocked me, then it kinda hurt my feelings, then it kinda made me feel defensive and then it kinda made me think.
Yep. I’m an odd duck. Not everyone appreciates my special brand of magic and I’m good with that. And I also walk a path that not everyone appreciates – or thinks is wise. Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint-hearted which brings its own moments of anxiety. So there’s that.
But I’m still not sure what is driving this odd moment of anxiousness.
My holistic life coach instructor would tell you that you KNOW what it is, you just don’t want to know what it is.
No anxiety there.
Am I the only one who feels like this occasionally? Nope.
You see, I talk to people when they come into my shop about all sorts of topics. And if you know me, then you know part of my mission is to provide a safe space for you to ask questions, talk about your concerns – and your feelings.
My holistic life coach instructor also said “Your feelings are always REAL, they’re not always TRUE.”
Well said and very appropriate today.
Yes, I’m slathered in the Anxiety Ease blend today. It helps me to take a step back, take a deep breath and be mindful that all is well. My heart rate and racing mind relax and I don’t feel so scared.
Sometimes, feeling anxious can turn into feeling scared and I know I’m not alone in that either.
Today, I don’t know what I’m anxiously awaiting. What I do know is that I use aromatherapy to keep my emotions from getting out of hand.
Normally, I keep this kind of thing to myself because I’m supposed to be the one helping you, not feeling high strung. Just know that I’ve experienced a lot of different emotions and events in my life that give me a healthy sense of compassion.
When you reach out or visit, you’ll receive my empathy and compassion (and most likely a hug). Because that’s also part of my special brand of magic.
Thank you for stopping by and for understanding that it takes all kinds to make magic in the world today.
