Meet Cyrus Bush: The Benefits of Tapping

As a Certified Aromatherapist, I’m always looking for ways to get, be and stay healthy in the most natural and holistic way possible. When I learn about a new modality, I want you to know about it, too!

I learned about Tapping also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) from Cyrus Bush of A Confident Performer in Pfafftown, North Carolina.

Tapping is a simple way to access and harness your body’s energy to relieve stress, anxiety, old traumas and a whole host of emotions.

Cyrus and I talked via zoom this past week about the benefits and uses for tapping and he offered so much information during our wonderful conversation – we even did a short tapping session!

It was a wonderful conversation with someone I so dearly appreciate and I hope you got as much out of it as I did!

Here are more benefits of Tapping:

  1. You “disrupt” stuck energy that causes anxiety and stress.
  2. Restores balance to your energy.
  3. Reduces emotions such as anxiety and anger.
  4. Draws attention to your body and breathing also known as mindfulness.
  5. Along with aromatherapy, it can help heal old traumas.

How Does Tapping Work?

According to Medical News Today, this is the theory behind Emotional Freedom Technique:

“As with acupuncture and acupressure, tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points, which are a concept in Chinese medicine. Proponents believe them to be areas of the body through which energy flows.

In this theory, blocks or imbalances in the flow of energy lead to ill health. According to EFT advocates, tapping on these meridian points with the fingertips restores the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues.

It can also work in a similar way to mindfulness, as it can draw a person’s attention to their body and breathing. It may serve as a mental distraction from the issues that are causing anxiety or stress.”

There are times when we all feel “stuck” and it’s during those times that Tapping can release the pressure of pent up emotions.
